Optimizing Brewery Efficiency: Some Production Yield Stats

At The Beverage Factory by Good Robot, precision and efficiency are more than just goals—they're benchmarks. Our Production Manager, Kellye Robertson, recently shared some insightful statistics that illuminate how we're pushing the boundaries of quality and consistency in craft brewing.

1. Hoppy Beer Yield Production: Average 87%+

The Beverage Factory achieves an impressive average yield production of over 87%, ensuring that each batch maximizes the flavour and aroma of hops while minimizing waste.

2. Non-Hoppy Beer Yield Production: Average 91%+

For non-hoppy varieties, our average yield production exceeds 91%. This high yield not only enhances cost-effectiveness but also maintains the integrity of each brew.

3. Non-Hoppy Filtration Turbidity Units (FTUs): 8-12

Unlike the typical range of 20-30 FTU seen in non-hoppy beers, our brewery achieves exceptional clarity with FTU levels consistently between 8 and 12. This precise control over clarity not only improves shelf stability but also minimizes the risk of customer dissatisfaction based on beer appearance. Measurable FTUs also enables batch-to-batch production to be repeatable.

4. Increased Hop Utilization: 20%

Thanks to our advanced brewhouse technology, we get 20% more hop utilization on hot side.

(Hot side refers to the addition of heat during the early steps in the brewing process, and cold side is the suppression of heat that happens after. The main hot side operations include mashing, lautering, boiling, and whirlpool.)

5. Enhanced Malt Extract: 10-15% Increase

Our brewhouse also boasts a significant increase of 10-15% in malt extract compared to standard methods. That savings is passed directly to our contract brewing clients.

Why It Matters

Quality. Efficiency. Innovation.

In addition to enhancing the quality and innovation of our beverages, the efficiency of our brewing facility and team result in cost savings passed directly to contract brewing and manufacturing clients.
